Having a baby bump can at times be beautiful, and at times an absolute pain in the butt, all of this will of course depend on how you feel within yourself. Even though you don’t really want to think about it when you are pregnant, there are times when you want to feel good about yourself, and look fashionable, and it is possible.
Having a baby bump is one of the most natural and beautiful looks that you can possibly have and if you are looking for ways to use that bump and still look great, here are some ways in which you can do just that.
Go Lycra
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for you to hide your baby bump and if you want to really look stylish, it is time to show that little beauty off. In order to do this, a lycra dress, or any other material which hugs your figure in the same way, is a great idea. These types of materials will show off all of your best bits and make sure that everyone is focusing on that big bump of yours.
Simple and Stylish
When it comes to which colors you should be wearing, try to keep things as simple as possible and use earth colors or simple blacks and whites. Your bump will be doing enough to draw attention so the last thing that you need are garish or bright colors which will make you look like Christmas bauble.
Loose Fitting
For those days when you are just feeling bleurgh, you may not want to dress up your baby bump and these are the days that you should be wearing a large scarf or a shawl which looks both stylish, and gives you freedom to breath and get some air into your system. A great shawl can really do wonders for your outfit and there is no way that you will feel uncomfortable when wearing one.
Embracing Boobs
Those boobs will no doubt be growing at a steady rate as the milk gets ready for your baby and you should take your chance to use them. Nobody says that just because you are pregnant that you shouldn’t still be sexy and if your boobs are growing, you should be complimenting them with your clothing. This is of course, not to suggest that you wear daringly plunging necklines or risqué clothing but a little bit of cleavage can help you to look and feel great.
Layer Up
Your bump will attract attention whether you like it or not but you can help to minimize this if you so wish, through careful layering. This isn’t to say that you should throw on 3 vest tops and a jumper, try to build the layers from the bottom up, a vest top with an off-the-shoulder jumper for example and a long cardigan over the top. Layers not only look great but they can really help you to hide the bump.
