Non-surgical aesthetic treatments that are just as effective as ‘the knife’

July 4, 2019 by Shaznay Logan

As you start to get older, you may begin to feel a little self-conscious about your looks. No one likes the prospects of aging and gaining wrinkles – but you do not have to go under the knife. Instead, save your money for something else more important and consider these alternative treatments. They can be just as effective as some of the more expensive surgeries, and leave you feeling good about yourself.

Chemical Peels

If you have a problem with dry and peeling skin, one of the main ways you can solve this is by booking in a chemical peel. A chemical peel will remove old skin and allow new layers to grow in its place. This means you will be left with a bright and clear complexion. Please keep in mind that there are a lot of different strengths of chemical peels. If you use too strong of a peel then your skin has the potential to either look sunburned, blistered or even form scabs. However, if you want to hide any wrinkles, acne scarring or sun damage, this is the perfect treatment for you.

Dermal Fillers

Another way to deal with any wrinkles or skin creases is by looking into dermal fillers, especially Dermal Fillers by Ten Dental. Although this might not be the treatment for you if you are frightened of needles, it is perfect if you are looking for a smoother complexion. Dermal fillers are perfect if you are looking to increase the volume and definition of your lips or cheeks. Your dermal fillers can be made from collagen, hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite or poly-L-latic aid (PLLA). Whilst fillers work very quickly and are very effective, keep in mind that they can be a bit expensive (from around £150-£300. It is also essential that you find a reputable cosmetic doctor who can apply the dermal fillers. That way there is less chance of your treatment going wrong.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is normally a technique used to relieve pain and aid the recovery for sport players. However, it can also be used for aesthetic purposes, including weight loss and for treating bodily conditions like psoriasis and eczema. Basically, Cryotherapy involves standing in an extremely cold tank for about 2-4 minutes. The cold tank can be as low as -90C. When you are in the tank, you will find that the cold will stimulate your blood vessels and will end up rejuvenating your skin. This means you will have a rosy glow and have skin that will look less red and blotchy.  If you are interested in weight loss, this therapy will trick your body into thinking it is in a “crisis”. That means it will burn more energy and calories to “survive.” The price for this therapy begins at around £90.

Cellfina

Let’s face it, we are all obsessed with having the perfect butt. That’s why you will love finding out about Cellfina, a surgery alternative to butt implants. The procedure focuses on thigh and butt dimples. It leaves the butt looking smooth and soft, meaning that you will look fantastic in a bikini. Even better, the treatment actually lasts up to three years and only takes around 45 minutes to complete.
