5 Ways to Boost Your Family’s Immune Systems

Set a Regular Bedtime and Wake-Up Time

You need eight hours of sleep. You also need to have a good night’s sleep. Every one of us knows the difference in how we feel depending on whether we’ve had a good night’s sleep or a bad one. How we feel is not just in our heads. It is physiological. Getting a good night’s rest night after night can be tricky, but by using our own natural rhythms and going to bed and waking up at the same time, you can do wonders for the whole family.

Improve Your Diets

The food we eat also has a big impact on our immune system. Some foods are hard to process and overload our systems, such as fats, salts, and sugars. Other foods we definitely need more of. Try to improve your diet as much as you can. For most of us, this can be done by starting to make all our food from scratch.

Drink Plenty of Fluids

Our bodies are mostly water, so hydrating properly is key to staying healthy. It is also one of the best ways to improve flu symptoms and recovery rates, as we tend to lose more liquid when sick.

Be Active and Exercise

Keep your body strong and blood circulating to stay strong and well. You can go out as a family for walks, or better yet, bike rides, so that you can exercise while socially distancing. Being active helps us feel great and is also important for our immune systems to stay strong.
