Autumnal Holidays: Why Stay in the UK?

london
While it may be tempting to book a last minute break abroad as autumn approaches – after all, it’s always nice to keep the sunshine blazing in your life a little longer, even after the UK has had its heyday – you shouldn’t automatically look at faraway destinations if you want to have an unforgettable holiday. While the UK can’t guarantee the weather, what it can offer is a multitude of attractions and activities that will keep you and your family satisfied for the duration of your holiday.

It may have been feasible to afford a holiday in the sun a few years ago but at a time when money is tight, it’s not always possible. The joy of a more local break is the affordability first and foremost, with many people who have to live on a budget choosing to stay a little closer to home for the autumnal breaks.

With Christmas on the horizon, it’s no wonder families all over the country are being a little more careful about their frivolous spends but that doesn’t mean you have to give up your time away completely. With so many budget-friendly options available, such as camping, holiday parks and staycations, what are you waiting for? You could even win your holiday with the Butlins competition, saving you heaps!

While the financial aspect is certainly a great reason to stay in the UK for your holiday, it’s certainly not the only reason. Travelling becomes much easier, too. You don’t have to worry about endless hours in the air and the risk of spending hours in the airport because of unforeseen delays. All parents will know how difficult it is to entertain bored kids and while a car journey isn’t the easiest thing around, it’s often a lot more stress-free than flights.

Wherever you choose to stay in England, you can also guarantee that you will be met with a huge range of activities. From exploring the city to spending your days joining in the wealth of opportunities at a holiday park, there’s a wealth of attractions available. Check out the Butlins and Cushelle competition to see just what’s on offer if you choose to head to one of these popular holiday parks this autumn.

There’s more to the UK than meets the eye – make the most of our mild autumn days to see what’s in store.
